Definition:

Refers to the total number of patients alive on December 31st of each year who are receiving different forms of renal replacement therapy: haemodialysis/haemoinfiltration, intermittent peritoneal dialysis, continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD), continuous cyclical peritoneal dialysis (CCPD), or with a functioning transplant.
