Educational institution
Definition:
They have as their sole or main purpose the provision of education. Such institutions are normally accredited or sanctioned by some public authorities. While the majority of educational institutions fall under the jurisdiction of, or are operated by, education authorities, other public agencies dealing with such areas as health, training, labour, justice, defence, social services, etc. may also be involved. Educational institutions may also be operated by private organizations such as religious bodies, special-interest groups or private educational and training institutions, both profit and non-profit making.
