To achieve SDG 7 and realize its promise of ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all, Arab countries must adopt proactive policy approaches and deepen regional cooperation.
The Arab Sustainable Development Report 2020 identified a series of recommendations to accelerate the achievement of SDG 7, which can guide the region’s efforts to build back better from COVID-19, bolster resilience against future shocks, and achieve a just and inclusive energy transition.
