Executive Secretary Visits Former Head of State

          Beirut, 3 August 2017 (Communication and Information Unit) -- United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of ESCWA Mohamed Ali Al-Hakim visited on 2 August 2017 former Lebanese President Amin Gemayel in his office in Bikfaya. Al-Hakim took over his functions at the helm of ESCWA last May.

The two officials discussed collaboration between ESCWA and Lebanon in addition to the economic and social cooperation activities carried out by the Commission in the region. They also discussed the National Agenda for the Future of Syria program initiated by ESCWA over three years ago.
