ESCWA Executive Secretary Mohamed Ali Alhakim visited the civil service learning center in Beirut for a meeting with its director, Ms. Lamia Moubayed Bsat. They discussed how to address institutional challenges to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, as well as main results from work undertaken in 2017 and joint projects that could be carried out in 2018.
Ms. Moubayed Bsat expressed appreciation for the quality of the discussions related to the SDGs, while Mr. Alhakim underlined the importance of increasing mutual cooperation between ESCWA and IoF.
The Executive Secretary was accompanied by his Special Assistant, Mohanad Al-Musawi, as well as by the ESCWA Regional Advisor for Sustainable Development Goals and Social Policies, Adib Nehme.
