ESCWA is organizing a virtual workshop to promote the economic inclusion of persons with disabilities and address the challenges they face. The workshop is an opportunity for entrepreneurs with disabilities to showcase their success stories in establishing successful businesses, and for private sector companies (including SMEs) to showcase success stories on the inclusion of persons with disabilities, in addition to learning from other companies working towards greater economic inclusion.
A second workshop will be organized later to adopt the “Private Sector Charter for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities”. ESCWA will draft this charter through a consultative process and will encourage private sector companies in the Arab region to join it, to demonstrate their commitment to inclusion in employment and skills development.
