ESCWA is holding this meeting to explore policy options and framework for conflict prevention and recovery in conflict and post-conflict contexts in the Arab region.
The meeting brings together experts and practitioners to discuss lessons from past recovery and peacebuilding efforts, for enhancing regional cooperation, and the status of recent conflicts in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and Sudan. Key topics include economic revitalization, institutional recovery, and the creation of equitable structures that support peace, reconciliation, and development. Strategies for rebuilding social cohesion and strengthening community resilience are also explored.
