Within the framework of the ESCWA commitment to update the conceptual framework for digital development in the coming two years (2024-2025), in preparation for the release of the third round of National Digital Development Review reports and the issuance of the first report on progress in implementing the Arab Digital Agenda, ESCWA is organizing a series of expert meetings aimed at enriching mechanisms for assessing and advancing digital development in the Arab region.
The meetings include keynote speakers and multi-stakeholder participants, with the aim of identifying key findings for the most important issues, and proposing indicators and research questions to add to the conceptual framework and the related toolkits and documents. The meetings also help align efforts and investments from Governments, the private sector and civil society to accelerate progress towards the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals using digital and emerging technologies.
