The Committee on Transport and Logistics is holding its twenty-third session in Alexandria (Egypt) on 20 and 21 October 2022.
It will review activities carried out by the ESCWA secretariat and developments in the field of transport and logistics in member States since its twenty-second session, which was held in Cairo on 6 and 7 December 2021. The Committee will also discuss the use of hydrogen in the transport sector and related opportunities in the Arab region, and blockchain applications in the logistics sector.
As part of its proceedings, the Committee will also hold two round tables, one on road safety and the other on challenges for preparing transport professionals for the future, in partnership with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, which will host this Committee session.
