The Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) is holding its seventh special session in Amman on 20 and 21 December 2022 to consider urgent issues, chiefly the request of Djibouti to join ESCWA membership.
The session will also follow up on key ESCWA activities held in the past year, and will discuss new issues as well, including recent economic and social developments in the Arab region; the status of digital transformation in Arab countries; and prospects for electric mobility and transport professions.
