Term:
Accuracy of estimates
Definition:

An indicator of the closeness of an estimated population parameter to the actual population value. Accuracy is generally not known unless cross-checking procedures are conducted from time to time using other survey approaches. It should not be confused with precision which measures the variability of the estimates and can always be computed from the samples.
