Following the success of last year’s challenge to produce a short video to raise awareness about the solutions to combat desertification and mitigate drought in the Arab region, ESCWA is partnering with OICT, ACSAD and AOAD to challenge the creativity of Arab youth once again this year.
The challenge is to produce a short video that documents a solution to either desertification or drought, explaining its impact on the environment, ecosystems, agriculture, local economy, and human lives. The video has to be short, not exceeding 3 minutes maximum. Live footage, animation, or a combination of both can be used.
The challenge is open to adolescents and young adults aged between 15 and 30, living in the Arab region. Everyone is invited to register before 30 April and submit their video before 8 May.
