On 3 October, a series of workshops focusing on sharpening the skills of 100 young men and women in social business planning kicked off in Qatar and is scheduled to last till early 2022.
This training comes within the framework of a project initiated in 2020 by ESCWA and the Social Development Center, Nama, to empower Qataris and raise the social entrepreneurs’ awareness in their national roles.
Following a comprehensive survey to assess the needs, gaps and opportunities in social leadership in Qatar, ESCWA prepared a training manual based on the most important global and regional educational approaches to social leadership, while taking into account the local context and cultural specificities. It will then evaluate all training courses and incorporate stakeholders’ feedback in the manual prior to its release.
