On 6 November, ESCWA, UN Women, the Arab Women Parliamentarians Network for Equality “Ra’edat”, and the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD), launched a regional training of trainers (ToT) on women’s political leadership and candidates’ training in the Arab States.
The online training will be held in eight sessions spread over four weeks. Participants from 14 Arab countries with experience in political participation, election campaign management and training, will be trained to transfer knowledge and skills to national partners, women candidates and their campaign managers in their respective countries.

This holds true at all levels of governance, including parliament, government, civil service, judiciary and local councils. This training hopes to provide some of the tools needed to bridge this gap.
