Building on the findings of the Arab Sustainable Development Report (ASDR) 2020, ESCWA and the West Asia-North Africa Institute organized on 23 November a webinar on “Re-imagining Food Security in the Arab Region post-COVID”.
Participants discussed SDG progress in the Arab region with a focus on Goal 2 on ending hunger, achieving food security and improved nutrition and promoting sustainable agriculture.
They also underlined the role of technology in enhancing sustainability, ensuring a green recovery from the current crisis, building resilience to withstand future ones and enhancing regional cooperation to address trade dependency.
