From 13 to 16 December, ESCWA, in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of Somalia, organized a training programme on integrating social justice and equality principles into policies and programmes.
The training focused on enhancing the capacities of technical officials and national experts on the assessment of social justice gaps using the tool developed by ESCWA for this purpose, and on developing a national plan to achieve social justice.
The workshop was followed by consultative and technical meetings between the Somali delegation and ESCWA experts to agree on an integrated programme for technical cooperation in line with their national needs.
