To provide Palestinian administrative officers with technical assistance in the context of trade facilitation, ESCWA organized in Amman, Jordan, a workshop on the rules of origin of the Pan-Arab Free Trade Agreement (PAFTA).
The workshop, held from 8 to 11 August, provided participants with a full understanding and a common interpretation of the PAFTA rules of origin to enable their application in a uniform manner.
The PAFTA agreement was signed in 1997 and fully implemented in 2005 aiming to facilitate and develop trade among Arab States.
