In the framework of a series of workshops on the use of the Index Simulator for Policymakers in the Arab Region (ISPAR) to address gender equality gaps, ESCWA and the Omani Ministry of Social Development organized a training workshop for policymakers from the ministry and various other relevant ministries and agencies.
The workshop, held in Muscat from 20 to 22 August, focused on developing a national gender equality index, using ISPAR to improve the rating of Oman on global indicators, and identifying priority areas.
ISPAR is an interactive tool that helps member States improve their rating on global indicators, and allows them to learn from countries’ experiences, namely in terms of successful and advanced policies.
