On 29 December, ESCWA, in partnership with the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC) in Qatar, organized a virtual workshop to build national capacities on new technologies and digital transformation.
The workshop highlighted the best regional and international practices in developing digital technology policies, namely in the artificial intelligence (AI) field. It also discussed the role of these technologies in digitizing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to foster their productivity.
The workshop was attended by representatives from public institutions involved in the development and implementation of digital technologies policies, as well as representatives of national SMEs.
