To raise awareness about the impact of new technology that should be adopted at the governmental level, ESCWA organized on 6 October a virtual workshop on “New Technologies and Artificial Intelligence” in partnership with the Ministry of Telecom and Information Technology (MTIT) in Palestine.
Representatives from public institutions involved in the development and implementation of digital policies learned about the main concepts of big data and artificial intelligence, as well as the best regional and international practices in developing digital technologies policies in this regard.
The workshop also tackled the current and planned initiatives of MTIT in harnessing new technologies for development at the national level.
