On 21 July, ESCWA and Innovety organized a webinar aimed at discussing ways to revive development strategies and action plans of organizations working in the public health sector and on socioeconomic issues in times of COVID-19.
In his opening remarks, ESCWA Deputy Executive Secretary Mounir Tabet said that the pandemic offered an opportunity for innovators to explore new realms, such as virtual learning development.
ESCWA also emphasized the need for local economies to adopt new technologies to face the COVID-19 crisis as the whole region transforms to the digital economy.
