On 22 and 23 August, ESCWA, in collaboration with the League of Arab States, the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency and the Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization, organized an online training on grid interconnection and energy transition in the Arab region.
The training intended to familiarize the participants with current technologies, such as UHV networks and photovoltaic, photo-thermal, and grid-connected renewable energy, along with their development trends and application scenarios.
It also introduced the latest research results of the Arab countries' electricity market and regional energy interconnection to promote clean energy transformation and sustainable development.
