On 28 May, ESCWA organized a workshop on “Elevating Syrian Entrepreneurs: Facilitating the Transition from Informal to Formal Business Operations”.
Various stakeholders including government representatives, industry experts, business support organizations and entrepreneurs discussed the challenges and opportunities that come with formalizing business operations.
Participants were given a presentation about the informal business landscape in Syria, and learned about key steps to formalize their business.
