On 7 and 8 March, ESCWA and the Lebanese Ministry of Labor organized a workshop on using the Social Justice Policy Gap Assessment Tool (PGAT) for assessing wage policy in Lebanon.
The workshop helped train relevant officials on how to use the tool and elaborated on the assessment process and the different steps involved. It also familiarized them with how to extract the assessment and Social Justice Barometer results.
In addition, participants discussed the required reforms to fill the gaps revealed by the assessment as well as the options available to support improving wages, amid the economic and social crisis that Lebanon is going through.
