On 14 July, in an effort to streamline the contribution of academia to address the region’s development challenges, ESCWA launched the Academic Network for Development Dialogue (ANDD) during a virtual meeting.
The ANDD is a partnership between universities and educational institutions from the region and the world. It is supported by the Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS) and Qatar University.
The ANDD will enhance intellectual sharing among academic institutions and United Nations entities to bridge knowledge gaps on the region. It will also foster scientific expertise and findings to support progress towards sustainable and inclusive development.
