To enhance regional cooperation in social development, ESCWA Committee on Social Development held its fourteenth session on 9 June.
The session, held at the UN house in Beirut, focused on the challenge of inequality in the Arab region and discussed initiatives by ESCWA to address the economic and social aspects of the issue. Participants also reviewed the work of ESCWA in social development since the previous session.
During the meeting, the Committee adopted practical recommendations to promote social development in the Arab region.
