On 28 October, ESCWA participated in a workshop aimed at empowering and supporting Iraqi women through enhancing their digital skills, organized by ITU and the Iraqi Communications and Media Commission.
The workshop raised awareness on the importance of equipping girls and women with digital skills as a key to their digital inclusion, and for improved education and employment opportunities.
The event was held as part of the annual ITU-UNESCO Regional Digital Inclusion Week for the Arab States, organized from 25 to 30 October on the theme “Serving the underserved in times of crisis: no one left behind.”
