On 28 February and 1 March, ESCWA and the Ministry of Economy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) organized a workshop for government officials working in trade on the utilization of the Arab economy-wide trade simulator interface (ATSI).
ESCWA presented applications specific to the UAE and explained how to use the results provided by the platform in decision-making in a flexible and accessible way.
ATSI is a user-friendly tool developed by ESCWA to assist policymakers in gathering the required information and data for the development of trade policies. It allows users who are not experts in modeling to simulate the impact of international trade policies on national economies.
