Building on the findings of the Arab Sustainable Development Report (ASDR) 2020, and as part of a series of online dialogues, ESCWA and the Environmental Center for Arab Towns organized on 5 November a webinar on “The Arab Sustainable Development Report 2020 and Inclusive Arab Cities”.
ESCWA provided a detailed overview of the ASDR 2020 and of progress in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the region. It also highlighted the need for policy coherence across different yet interlinked SDGs, especially in the context of the COVID-19 crisis.
Participants also discussed Goal 11 on sustainable cities and communities and the obstacles facing its achievement in the region.
