The webinar focused on undertaking agriculture censuses in Sudan. It offered an opportunity for the Central Bureau of Statistics’ (CBS) experts to review the challenges and opportunities faced when undertaking Sudan Comprehensive Agricultural Census. The webinar also provided an opportunity to benefit from the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization’s intervention on the main concepts and definitions in Agriculture Census including common concepts between Population and Housing Census (PHC) and Agriculture Census and methods of identifying household farms in PHC. It also provided a platform for exchanging experiences from the Arab Republic of Egypt in collecting agriculture census data using technology and satellite images, and from other regional experts.
