ESCWA organizes a national workshop in Jordan, aimed at training national officials on the use of the Social Expenditure Monitor online dashboard and discussing its key findings and policy relevance for effective budgeting and planning. The workshop also aims to enhance the capacity of Jordanian officials, particularly at the ministries of planning and finance, in macro-econometric modelling and forecasting to optimize linkages between public social expenditure, social development priorities and macro-fiscal sustainability in a national context.
