This event presents a draft national framework for Lebanon multidimensional poverty, and the findings of the 2019-2020 shock simulation analysis. The expert group meeting aims to solicit input from key stakeholders on the technical aspects of the framework and on the proposed policy recommendations:
- Define new normative assumptions related to the Lebanon National multi-dimensional poverty (Dimensions, indicators, cut-offs, and weight distribution)
- Present the simulation methodology and the results for 2021
- Present the cost of closing the poverty gap
- Discuss ways to overcome the survey data limitations in the future
- Discuss ways to advance with the proposed national framework
