Specifically, discussions focused on the following: (a) introducing participants to internationally recognized good practices in road safety and the mechanisms required for introducing and implementing such practices in the ESCWA region; (b) highlighting the experiences of ESCWA representatives with regard to the implementation of both good and adverse practices in across the region; (c) and exchanging views in terms of improving the application of good practices and of finding solutions to overcome poor practices. Recommendations were reached with regard to good practices in road safety; and a list of steps to be undertaken was approved.
