Within the framework of its joint project "Building the Capacities of Young Men and Women in Qatar in the area of Social Entrepreneurship" with NAMA Center in Qatar, ESCWA is organizing a Training of Trainers (TOT) on the first phase of the social entrepreneurship journey: “Identification of the problem and solution”.
The workshop uses a ToT specific manual and provides an intensive training to a group of 25 trainees who graduated in the first two general workshops organized in Doha between 3 and 9 October 2021 and who were selected based on specific criteria. The training of trainers aims to (1) intensify the knowledge gained on the first stage of the social entrepreneurial journey; (2) training on the different approaches that would enhance the skills and competencies of social entrepreneurs; and (3) acquiring communication and facilitation competencies and using training skills.
The trainers-to-be who express their interest to train their peers and show mastery of the subjects are expected to deliver four consecutive training workshops to new participants on the topics they learnt under the close monitoring and guidance of ESCWA and NAMA. The 4 workshops are scheduled in November 2021 and aim to maximize the benefits of the training to as many young men and women in Qatar as possible and create a cascading effect.
